Our Story

Armed with a career track record of managing more than 3,000 real estate transactions and a desire to create a real estate company that provides superior marketing and customer service, Benji Smith founded Flagship Properties in Greenville, South Carolina in 2008 in the height of The Great Recession. Flagship acquired Riverside Property Management in 2010 enabling the company to provide Property Management to its Commercial and Residential services. Jon Pickhardt, a leader within the Greater Greenville Association of Realtors and a top producing agent in the Upstate, partnered with Flagship in 2011 as General Manager of Residential Sales and Property Management. Smith states "My vision from start was to design a full-service real estate company

Jon Pickhardt, General Manager – Residential Sales and Property Management:

Margaret Rollison

Margaret has lived in the Greenville area since 1982 and joined Flagship Properties in 2011 with over 9 years of real estate experience. She is a 1982 graduate of Presbyterian College.  From 1998 - 2001 she served a four term as an elected official. During her tenure in office, Margaret gained valuable knowledge about planning and zoning, and her experience with these processes offers additional value to clients.

The most rewarding part of Margaret’s work continues to be the people she meets in her daily activities. Sandy Moffitt

After a previous short stay in the Greenville area, Sandy and her family  made the area home for good in 1998. Drawn by the Upstate’s abundant natural beauty, affordability and family friendly atmosphere, Sandy has immersed herself in volunteer opportunities. Currently, she volunteers at Brookwood Church, with the Mauldin High Booster Club, and as an advocate for Susan G. Komen. Sandy and her husband have two sons, one at Mauldin High School and one enrolled at the University of South Carolina.

Candace Boatwright - ABR, RRS, Broker Associate

I was born and raised right here in Upstate SC, graduating from Eastside High School and Clemson University. My grandfather founded Meadors Sandwich Company, a well-known Greenville icon. After graduating from Clemson in 1992 with a degree in Microbiology, I lived in Atlanta working and studying at Emory University where I pursued Biostatistics. From there I moved to Saint George Island, Florida where I fell in love with real estate and became a Realtor in 2001. I returned to the Upstate with my husband in 2004 to be near my family and to raise my son in the best place on Earth!

I am actively involved at Brookwood Church in Simpsonville, Women’s Bible Study, Bells Crossing Elementary School PTA, Accredited Buyer Representatives, the Greater Greenville Association of Realtors, and the Western Upstate (Anderson, Seneca & lake areas) Association of Realtors.  I also enjoy gardening, running, cross-fit training, camping, reading, hiking, softball, puzzles, fixing things, and ALL College and NFL football.

Jerry is a native Greenvillian and has lived in Greenville most of his life, with the exception of time spent in North Carolina with Duke Energy. An active member of the community, Jerry serves as a hospice, Meals on Wheels and Habitat for Humanity volunteer.  He enjoys giving a portion of each of his real estate transactions to the Greenville County Cancer Society and The Pickens County Meals on Wheels.
